HAVANA
Typeface Design
Havana was developed as part of Warsaw Types (Warszawskie Kroje), a collaborative project initiated by the MiastoDwa association. A group of 12 designers created 12 fonts inspired by Warsaw’s local typographic heritage. The initiative aimed to improve the visual landscape of the cities. Havana is distributed under an Open Source license.

The typeface is a single-style script inspired by pre-1989 Warsaw neon signs.
Several letterforms were drawn directly from historic street signage—such as the "K" and "m" from the "Kosmetyki" sign and the "t" from the "Mister" neon. The font’s name pays homage to the iconic former Café Havana on Słowackiego Street.Source: NAC (nac.gov.pl)Source: NAC (nac.gov.pl)
